Notes: Contemporaries of the Tarahumara and Tepehuan, the Pima Bajo occupied an area from the Rio Sonora to the Rio Yaqui, and eastward into the Sierra Madre Occidental.  Volume 1: The Material Culture.  Farming, food, animals, gardening, hunting, gathering, ceremonies, games and drugs (including an abortifacient), clothing, textiles, jewelry, baskets, and dwellings.  Volume 2: Vocabulario en la Lengua Nevome.  Névome is the language spoken by the Pima Bajo.  Spanish, translated to Névome.  This volume is based on the 1862 grammar edited by Buckingham Smith Arte de la lengua névome, que se dice pima, propia de Sonora: con la doctrina christiana y confesionario añadidos (“Grammar of the Pima or Névome, a Language of Sonora, from a Manuscript of the XVII Century”).  Smith had an unpublished vocabulary of Névome that Campbell was also able to use  as the basis for this volume.  Volume 2 is particularly hard to get through unless you have a working knowledge of Spanish.   Two volume set, SOLD AS A SET ONLY.
