Description
Editor: Hutton, Paul Andrew
Publisher: University of Oklahoma Press
Pub Date: 2004
Binding: Paperback
Condition: Fair to Good. Binding tight. No marks, tears, folds. Lower front cover corner has a very small crease, slight wear. Very light edge and corner wear. Appears unused.
Notes: The somewhat limited scope of this volume (only 4 sections–Custer’s Civil War years, the Indian Wars, the Little Big Horn, and the Custer Myth) isn’t really a drawback. No surprises here either. Custer is either vainglorious (his Indian war period) or a hero (the Civil War years), depending on which historian you read. Essays by Robert Utley, Stanley Vestal, and Hutton highlight the volume. Includes black-and-white photos and drawings.
