No marks, tears, bends or folds. Light corner and edge wear. With the exception of some slight scuffing to front and rear covers this appears unused. Copy 3 (AF): Fair. Binding tight. Pen mark on ffep. Previous owner bound this in a clear plastic film, which, while it protects the covers also memorializes any and all faults. Upper front cover corner has two folds, interior approx. 1″, exterior approx. 3″. Upper rear cover corner has approx. 2″ fold. A hole has been worn in the plastic film on the rear cover. Edge and corner wear.
Notes: Basso lived, at intervals, among the Cibecue Apache for more than 2 years. He writes about Apache history, both pre- and post-reservation, ceremonies (including the girl’s puberty ceremony), rituals, power, religion, witchcraft, and God-bless-’em, missionaries.
