Notes:   Clark was the author of The Owl in Monument Canyon (University of Utah Press, 1993), and a third generation Durangoan.  This book of photographs by Pennington and Lisle–ALL of their photographs–covers travel, nature, portraits, a honeymoon album, and Indians from the Four Corners states, were all taken in the early decades of the 1900s.
