Notes: IN SPANISH.  Peru and the Inca didn’t just magically roll over for the Spanish conquest.  This is the story of two armies at war, with the Spanish using the “sophisticated” tactics of the 16th century, co-opting the ruling classes through the use of persuasion, threat, and greater wealth, once the emperor Atahualpa was gone (baptized then strangled by his Catholic conquerors).  A guerilla war waged by Atahualpa’s brother, Manco Inca, killed more than 2000 Spaniards between 1531-1544, and ended only with the assassination of Manco Inca.  And if you thought a land war in Asia was tough, how about a land war in Peru?  VERY RARE.  NO copies available.
