Notes: Garner was an “aerodynamicist” with the British government who became an expert on Oriental ceramics. This volume came from the library of the late archaeologist Florence Lister, herself a ceramics expert, albeit Native American, Central American, and Mexican ceramics. This was probably just a reference volume for her, or maybe just a book to enjoy. The text of the book itself is only about 80 pages in length, but there’s an extensive bibliography, appendix, photographs, and prefaces to the first two editions.
