Notes: Submerged Resources Center Professional Reports Number 16.  Cultural Resources Management Professional Paper Number 65.  In 1996, prior to the introduction of trout to Yellowstone Lake, NPS conducted a survey of submerged remains in Yellowstone Lake, including dock structures, small boats, and the passenger steamer E.C. Waters.  Yellowstone Lake is among the largest bodies of water in the national park system, and may also be the deepest (with the possible exception of Lake Superior’s Isle Royale National Park).
