Condition: 2 copies.  Copy 1 (LOA23):  Fair.  Comb binding tight.  No missing or broken teeth.  No tears, folds.  Previous owner’s name on upper edge ffep.  Upper rear cover corner has two bends–outer bend approx. 2″, inner bend approx. 1/2″.  Wear to upper and lower rear corners at comb binding.  This is a REPRINT volume (ffep states “Reprint Series).  NO map pocket at rear.  All maps and diagrams included in text under References Cited.  Copy 2 (CB22):  Poor to Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears.  Upper front cover corner has approx. 1″ bend.  Stain to front cover near recto edge.  Discoloration to bottom of front cover.  Rear cover has 3 bends, ranging in size from approx. 8″ to 4”, all at upper corner.  Map pocket stapled to (original) rear cover.  I believe this to be an original edition of Part II of a 3 volume set (see Notes for titles of other volumes).  All original black-and-white photos are tipped in.  The bottom of every page looks like water damage–completely dried but wrinkled.  Where the photos have been tipped in (and glued) the page is warped.  Markings in red pen on several pages.  Some pages were badly cut when the volume was initially assembled, and are now worn, bent.   I had the original binding cut off and rebound this in the current wire-o binding with a clear plastic front cover and a black rear cover.   Includes 25 pages of diagrams in pocket at rear.  If this was a horse I’d say it had been rode hard and put up wet.
