Condition: Book: Fair. Binding tight. No tears, bends or folds. Previous owner’s bookplate on front pastedown. Upper edge of front and rear board has an approx. 1/2″ bump, causing a small wrinkle to the upper front board (dropped?). Gilt on spine and front board still sharp. Dust Jacket: Fair. NOT price clipped. Numerous chips and small tears along all edges, front and rear. Spine head and foot chipped, worn. Now in mylar.
Notes: The Scharbauer Site, 6 miles southwest of Midland, Texas. An approximately 30 year old human male, found in an area “approximately contemporaneous with the last major advance of Pleistocene ice sheets in North America. In other words, the skeletal remains belong to a time before the close of the Pleistocene, but we have as yet no means of determining their precise age.” (from the Introduction).
