Condition: Book: Fair. Binding tight. No tears, bends, folds. Gift inscription on second front endpaper/half-title page. Previous owner’s stamp on upper corner title page. Light edge and corner wear. Dust Jacket: Poor. Just about everything that could happen to a dust jacket has happened to this one–price clipped, previous owner’s name stamped on upper front cover corner, missing an approx. 1/2″ x 1″ triangular chip from lower front cover corner, approx. 8″ fold from missing chip to spine foot, lower front cover corner at spine foot has an approx. 2″ tear, missing and approx. 1/4″ x 1/4″ triangular chip, spine torn and sun-faded, spine head and foot worn, numerous chips and small tears along upper and lower edges. Now in mylar, and not a minute too soon.
Notes: Reprint edition, originally published 1967. Probably best as a college-level, general survey text on rock art. Pan North America. At the risk of mixing metaphors (?), this text is “bare bones.”
