Condition: Book: Fair. Binding tight. No marks, tears, bends or folds. Lower front cover corner slightly bumped. Front board has a slight bow. Smudging to bottom text block. Dust Jacket: Fair. Price clipped. The front edges and spine foot wrinkled, like they’ve had some form of water damage (though there is no discoloration to the interior of the jacket. Probably been in a humid environment.) Rear cover has some wrinkling, like it’s been next to a wire-bound notebook. Edge and corner wear.
Notes: The Far West–from the Continental Divide of the Rockies on the east to the Pacific Ocean on the west, from 57 degrees north latitude to the Mexican border. 57 degrees north latitude is about 650 miles (1054 km) north of Vancouver. Lots of geology in here (that’s the basis of his thesis about how people migrated into these areas), and then lots of archaeology. I loved reading about Lake Bonneville and the Bonneville Flood (38 cubic MILES of water). I think this probably made an excellent textbook in its day.
