Author: Kramer, Carol
Publisher: Smithsonian Institution Press
Pub Date: 1997
Binding: Hardcover
Condition: Book: Good. Binding tight. No marks, tears, bends or folds. Dust Jacket: Good. Front cover has printer fault running from top to bottom (looks like a smudge but occurs during printing, from lack of cleaning of equipment. I’ll bet every copy available has the same fault.)
Notes: Urban potters from Jodhpur and Udaipur, India. Examines the relationships between potters, distributors and vendors, as well as rural potters. Interviews with more than 200 potters and pottery vendors. From the library of the late archaeologist Linda Cordell (who sat on the advisory board of the Smithsonian Inst. Press). Though there is no statement to this effect I would bet this is a revised dissertation.
