Notes: Archaeological Society of New Mexico Publication No. 41.   Festschrift.  Personally, I think Hayden is very underrated as an archaeologist, especially in ceramics and rock art.  Though he spent his career with the Forest Service, Hayden was always a willing and active participant in excavations, and wrote more than 80 archaeological reports over the course of his Forest Service career.
