Condition: Fair to Good.  Binding tight.  No marks, tears, bends or folds.  Some scuffing along spine and rear spine edge.  Very light edge and corner wear.  Appears unused.

Notes: Festschrift.  Riley (1915-1993) became interested in aerial photography while a pilot in World War II, but didn’t become an archaeologist until 1977.  He did, however, in 1946, write one of the seminal papers on the subject of aerial photography and its uses in archaeology , “Technique of Air-Archaeology.”  Includes a long essay on “The Mathematics of Geometric Correction of Oblique Archaeological Air Photos.”  Also includes a bibliography of Riley’s published work.  For an appreciation of Riley’s impact on archaeology see  https://britisharchaeology.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/aerial-photos/riley-index.html
