Notes: Archaeological excavations of six small rockshelters and seven outdoor hearth features near Green Springs, UT.  “The purpose  of the investigations was to mitigate adverse effects to the sites that would be engendered  by a proposed R & PP (N.B. Recreation and Public Purpose) plan to develop the Green Spring area.  Of the seven  sites all were completely investigated except two which were sealed by massive collapsed slabs.  The archaeological sites revealed a series of residential camps, specialized resource procurement and processing camps, and transitory camps.occupied by Virgin Anasazi groups during the Pueblo I and Pueblo II periods, an by Southern Paiute groups during the pre-contact and post-contact era.”  (From the Abstract)
