Both forms of economics are based on faunal considerations.” (Borgoras, pg. 472) Borgoras was an ethnographer by choice, not training. He spent a good portion of his life in Siberia, studying the Chukchi and other tribes. He was also an early supporter of Lenin and the early Communists, and those connections allowed him freedom of movement and areas of study. He was a member of the Jesup North Pacific Expedition.
