Notes: Using the term “Socorro, New Mexico” is a misnomer.  The area examined has Socorro, NM, at its far eastern edge.  More particularly the areas examined are portions of the Gila National Forest, the Cibola National Forest, the Quemado Ranger District, a portion of the Stallion Range south of Socorro, the Ladron Mountains, and the Plains of San Augustin.
