Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears, folds.  Red pencil mark on upper front cover corner near spine head.  Approx. 1/2″ pen mark near lower front cover edge.  Paper clip mark on upper edge pages 77/78.   Upper rear cover corner has an approx. 2″ crease.  Spine either bumped or chipped (small rough patch).  Some edge and corner wear.

Notes: A preliminary study of an approx. 66 square mile, crescent-shaped area north of Chaco, proposed for development by two energy companies–think oil/natural gas and coal.  30% of the study area had been previously surveyed, yielding 33 archaeological sites and 39 “isolated occurrences.”  “Significance of the archeological sites and historical localities is evaluated, based on the research potential, heritage value, and possible value to contemporary Navajos.” (From the Abstract)
