Notes: According to the authors, Casas Grandes was NOT the central community of the prehistoric Puebloan community in northern Mexico. Rather it was a large LOCAL phenomenon. The more than 300 communities at the periphery of Casas Grandes had varying levels of social and economic interaction with Casas Grandes.
