Notes:  This is the first printing of the classic text, which went through three editions before the author’s death in 2010.  The author was a student of A.L. Kroeber at the University of California-Berkeley, who encouraged her study and work in Mexico.  She lived in Mexico, Uruguay, and Cuba over the course of her career.
