Notes: Two sites on the Fort Wingate Depot Activity (it’s not really a fort, but it’s not yet a suburb). “LA 101903 was described during survey as a lithic scatter of unknown cultural or temporal affiliation containing one hearth feature; LA 101906 was recorded as a prehistoric Pueblo lithic scatter with two hearth features….The combined evaluation of radiocarbon dates, lithic artifacts, ceramic artifacts and historical artifacts suggests multiple sequences of site occupation during the Archaic Basketmaker III/early Pueblo I, late Pueblo III/early Pueblo IV and late nineteenth or early twentieth century time periods.” (From the Executive Summary) Scarce.
