Notes: Southwest Cultural Resources Center Professional Papers Number 20. Thunderbird Lodge, at the mouth of the Canyon de Chelly canyon system, has been a trading post, guest headquarters, and a social center for the area around Chinle. Archaeological areas at the Lodge have been renovated, removed or paved over time. This report deals with the excavation of Buildings 13, 14, and 15 (tourist cottages, Sam Day’s Trading Post) at the Lodge.
