Description
Author: Minor, Rick
Publisher: Bureau of Land Management
Pub Date: 1989
Binding: Paperback
Condition: Fair. Binding tight. No marks, bends, folds. Front cover and spine look peachy, but when you turn it over a triangular piece of the corner, approx. 2″ x 3″ x 4″, is missing. The cleanness of the cut says “Printer Fault”. Very light edge wear. Appears unused.
Notes: Cultural Resource Series No. 3. “The timespan during which 35LNC49 and 35LNC50 were occupied is well within the period that Penutian-speaking peoples are thought to have inhabited the Oregon coast, and it is likely that these two shell middens were occupied by the ancestors of the Yaquina Indians.” (From the Abstract). Mussel shells comprise more than 90% of the middens, but some vertebrate remains were also found. VERY RARE. No other copies available for sale.
