Notes:  “Third publication in the Dinosaur Ridge Series.”   Dinosaur Ridge, just to the west of Denver (and north of Red Rocks) is the site of numerous dinosaur tracks.  This volume, however, concerns the human archaeological history of the area, based on a 1991 archaeological inventory.  “The potential time range represented in this area stretches from about 10,000 B.C., at the end of the last ice age, to circa World War II…Our findings at Dinosaur Ridge primarily date to a shorter time span within this period–about A.D. 150 through 1880 for Native American sites and roughly 1860 to 1940 for other recent remains.”  (From the Introduction).  Nicely done–well written, good illustrations, glossary, Further Readings–37 page, 8½” x 11″ oversize pamphlet, aimed at the tourist visitors to the dinosaur tracks site.
