Condition: Fair to Good.  Binding tight.  No tears.  Previous owner’s name stamped on title page and top text block.  Sticker residue on upper front cover corner.  Lower front cover corner and almost every page throughout the text has an approx. 1/2″ bend, undoubtedly from being dropped on that corner.  Spine and spine edges are wrinkled (printer fault), and that wrinkling gives the entire book the feel of being water-damaged, though the book itself is dry as a bone.  Smudging to bottom text block.

Notes: Bureau of American Ethnology Bulletin 120.  “…an ethnographic reconnaissance of the Western Shoshoni and some of their Northern Paiute, Ute, and Southern Paiute neighbors.  Most of the Shoshoni had not…been previously studied and many had not even been visited by an ethnologist….to ascertain the types of Shoshonean socio-political groups and to discover their ecological and social determinants.”  (From the Preface)
