Wear to head and foot of spine. Spots on front and rear covers. Fading to front board. Smudging to text block. Without dust jacket, as issued. Copy 2 BRU): Fair to Good. Binding tight. No tears, folds. Previous owner’s name on front pastedown. Corner wear, particularly to lower corners. Several pages have bent corners, including some of the fold out pages. Smudging to bottom text block.
Notes: Copy 1 from the library of the late archaeologist Robert Lister, his markings. Haury and Julian Hayden first excavated Ventana Cave in the early 1940s, and based on excavations posited that the cave was dated somewhere between Folsom and Clovis. Studies done in the early 1990s, using different technology, disproved that point and stated the cave is post-Clovis.
