The Great Natural Bridges of Utah (pamphlet)

1 in stock

Author: Cummings, Byron

Publisher: University of Utah

Pub Date: 1910

Binding: Paperback (pamphlet)

Condition: Good.  Stapled binding tight.  No rust marks.  No marks, tears, bends or folds.  Aside from some sunning to the spine and lower edge this is in very good shape.

Notes: First Archaeological Number.  Bulletin of the University of Utah, Vol. III, No. 3, Part 1.   Pamphlet, 24 pages.  Uncredited photos of the Nonnezoshie, Augusta (now known as Sipapu), Edwin (now known as Owachomo), Carolyn (now known as Kachina), Pikyabo, and Block bridges, as well as several pinnacles.  The earlier names were from old white guys naming them for their wives and mothers, prior to President Theodore Roosevelt creating National Bridges National Monument in 1908, when the Hopi names were “reinstated.”  This is an impressive little pamphlet.
