Description

Author: Roberts, Frank H.H., Jr. (1897-1966)

Publisher: Smithsonian Institution

Pub Date: 1930

Binding: Paperback

Condition: Fair to Good.  Binding tight.  No tears.  Previous owner’s name in ink on ffep/title page.  Some corner and edge wear.  Spine wrinkled (printer fault), making it hard to read title, etc.  Foxing to text blocks.  One approx. 1″ spot/stain on upper rear cover at spine edge (?).

Notes: Bureau of American Ethnology Bulletin 96.  The ruins are located in the Piedra Valley area, north of Navajo Reservoir and south of Highway 160, between Bayfield and Pagosa Springs.  Undoubtedly a Chaco outlier (think Chimney Rock, which was within view), but Roberts and his crew had no concept of this at the time.
